This gold plated crackle glass perfume atomizer, shown on page 222 of Weitman's Crackle Glass From Around the World, was manufactured for the De Vilbiss Company. The brass screw on cap has a silk atomizer bulb.
De Vilbiss did not manufacture their own glass for their perfume bottles. They purchased it from companies like Fenton, Steuben, Fry, and Cambridge, as well as European companies.
Size: The round bottle measures 2 3/8" (without the cap).
Marks/Dates: c. 1920's/1950's. Bottle has its original De Vilbiss Company label on the bottom, "De Vilbiss - S 300-57 Gold Plate - Made In USA."
Condition: No cracks or chips. Some perfume aroma lingers when you open the bottle. We would normally clean items inside and out but we did not want to dislodge the label or the bulb.
