Up for your consideration is a Retro Sterling Silver Rose Brooch:
Description - out of the 40s comes to you this wonderful brooch - designed as a rose in bloom, this piece is done in sterling silver and finished w/a gold wash (vermeil) - marked by its layered, retro style, this brooch has tons of flair and gorgeous, scrolling accents - simply spectacular!
Measurements - approximately 2.5" x 1.75"
Dates - c1940
Markings - "Sterling" - please see pictures.
Condition - Great - while there is a wonderful patina on this piece, associated w/age, there is a bit of wear on the points - which can be seen on the lower portion of the brooch - otherwise it's in fantastic, and wearable, shape. Otherwise, all materials are present, clear, and chip/flake free; the hardware is in good, working order.
About My Sterling & Silver Jewelry - Unless requested, Sterling/Silver Jewelry will not be polished, preserving the patina associated w/age. Additionally, I do not recommend polishing old Retro brooches, as the patina/wear adds to their mystique and nostalgia.
Shipping is FREE for First Class Domestic and International orders. Tax is charged for California residents at 8.75%.
How I Ship My Jewelry - I do not believe that jewelry, let alone vintage jewelry w/rhinestones, should be shipped in padded envelopes. Your jewelry, where possible, will be shipped in a new, cotton-filled jewelry box, but will always be shipped to you in a cardboard shipping box and padded w/both tissue and bubble wrap.
